Back in 1958, a few wiremen at an IBEW bowling tournament got together and came up with an idea---let's start a golf tournament. The rest, they say, is history.

The first tournament was a one-day affair and involved six local unions. Over fifty years later we play a three-day tournament and an 18 hole scramble. Our membership, over 1500 strong, spans 8 states, the District of Columbia and the Province of Ontario.

This website is dedicated to the preservation of our history, our records and to honor the founders that made it all possible.

It will allow our local secretaries easy access to their members' information for tournament entries. Tournament host locals will have an easier task organizing the playing roster with online signups.

With an eye to expanding our membership, we will be able to get the word out to other IBEW local unions who are looking to become involved. While we are proud our membership contains IBEW officers past and present, we are equally pleased when an apprentice tees off in his first tournament.

We encourage you to scroll through our archive pages to get a feel for what we are all about. The W.G.A. has a winning formula---great golf, good times, brotherhood and a lot of memories.

See you on the course,

Fraternally,

Jeff Readinger
